Royal Wedding Fever

I know there are much bigger topics going on in our world right now.  However, I think we could all use a happy break.  At least for a morning.  And tomorrow is that day- the Royal Wedding of Prince William to Catherine Middleton.  I'm excited (not about getting up at 4:30, but the wedding).  If it wasn't just me and 4:30am , I'd put on a hat, make scones with clotted cream, and serve English breakfast tea.  :)

The biggest "what if" for tomorrow is Kate's dress.  According to broadcasters, her dress must be modest for the cathedral, meaning it has to have sleeves.  The girl is very lucky to have her own designer and chef and hairstylist because it's difficult to find anything with sleeves in the "buy your dress off of the rack" world.

I have been thinking of what I would like to see Kate wear...and here are a few options I came up with (thanks to Google Images).

I like the classic (i.e. ballgown) lines and lace of this dress.  It looks like a "princess" dress- something a little girl would dream of for her big day!

I love this Maggie Sottero gown.  I like how it has a jacket for the bodice.  Kate wears numerous blazers and jackets.  This is also more trendy than other styles (but I don't think it will lose it's splendor like Diana's ruffle bonanza)

The mermaid style would definitely show off Kate's beautiful figure.  (All women let out an "I hate you Kate" sigh.  Just kidding).  While the lines are similar to the dress above, this is more form-fitted.

So what is your pick for the Royal gown?  Are you getting up early to watch the event?
