I have enjoyed reading other bloggers' updates on their children, their milestones and funny characteristics, so here goes my effort!
Jackson will be 15 months old on Sunday, May 1st. I can't believe it! At his 12 month check-up he was in the 20th percentile for height and the 0 percentile for weight! Yes, that is a zero! He's my skinny boy! Our pediatrician gave me the orders to "add calories" to his diet to see if that helps him to put on some weight. I've been adding more butter and fat to his diet, as well as trying to give him snacks more often. We did change him over to soy milk, which has less calories than whole milk, so we'll see what we find out in May. Don't think he doesn't love to eat though- he LOVES to eat!
His favorite things right now: the cats! He adores chasing after them and especially laying his head on their backs when they lay down. He also gets very excited when asked, "Jackson, do you want to take a tubby?" He loves his tubbies!!
Favorite foods: graham crackers, Mac N Cheese, BANANAS, and sweet potatoes
He doesn't like: having his face wiped, sitting still for diaper changes, ...basically sitting still in general
He started walking: He had taken steps here and there, but the first day he was in full "walking mode" was April 4th.
Sleeping: He was doing very well with his schedule... Then we hit 1. Daylight savings change and 2. Traveling back and forth to Holmes Co because of Brian's dad. I'm working very hard to get him back on a schedule. He's fighting us kicking and screaming to go to bed. This child has never liked sleep. I think I've finally come to that conclusion and will no longer consider throwing myself out the window when he doesn't want to.
Words he likes to say: mama, dada, and kiddy
Fun fact: Brian and I only call him Jackson. We started out thinking we were going to call him "Jack" but it just never fit. Most of my family calls him Jack, as well as some of our church family, but to everyone else he's Jackson. I'm sure he'll be much like his parents in that, I don't care what you call me, just don't call me late for dinner.
