Here are just a few things I have set as my goals for 2011:
Personal- Read one non-fiction book per month.
Spiritual- Read 3 chapters of the Bible each day. Spend 10 minutes in prayer/meditation each day.
Physical- Work out 2 times per week. Take Jackson on a walk twice per week (once warmer temperatures arrive).
Relational- Call each grandma once per week. Write one encouraging letter per week. Limit facebook usage to 15 minutes per day.
Financial- Cut our grocery budget by $60 per month. Save 10% of all incomes for retirement. Cut cable (TV) after the Super Bowl.
Business- Increase my sales by 35% over 2010.
How?
Adding to my weekly checklist.
Setting reminders on my google calendar.
Seeking the Lord for guidance.
What are your Resolutions? The average American sticks to their resolutions for 2.5 weeks- How do you plan to stick to yours?
Great stuff, Leah! I'm also hoping to work out this year. I initially resolved to go to the gym once a month, but I'm going to try to go once a week. I haven't made it yet this week. haha.
ReplyDeleteI also like what you wrote about facebook. I deactivated almost a month ago and I love it. It's so liberating!
Happy New Year!
Look at you, goal girl!
ReplyDeleteI'm keeping it simple this year...want to cook at least 4 dinners a week at home and make it to the gym twice a week. Between the two, I'm hoping to lose 10 lbs and gain some energy!
Oh, and the huge financial goal (save enough for a trip to Australia + a reasonable maternity leave) so that 2012 can be the big trip and then baby time :)
Excellent goal setting Leah! I think the most important thing about goals is writing them down, so you can visualise regularly. And knowing HOW you are going to do them - 5 stars! *****
ReplyDeleteI haven't set mine yet, you've just inspired me! :)
