My Travel Bucket List- as of 9/22/11

Continuing my series on one of my favorite things, lists, I wanted to share with you my Travel Bucket List.  This list is constantly changing.  I made one a few years ago and some of the things have changed.  Do I honestly think I'll complete this entire list?  Probably not- but a girl deserves to dream and so I say- dream big!!

1. Stand on the Great Wall of China

2. Tour the ancient city of Angkor Wat

3. Visit 3 of the 4 major tennis tournaments:  Wimbledon (London, UK); the Australian Open (Melbourne, VIC); and the US Open (Flushing Meadows, outside of NYC).

4. Do missions work at Camp Beulahland in Benin City, Nigeria with Pastor Peter Adigwe.  You can read more about Pastor Peter here.

5. Walk where Jesus walked (Visit Israel).  10 bonus points if we can be in Bethlehem on Christmas Eve.

6. Sail the Greek Islands

7. Hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu

8. Take in the sights of the beautiful Canadian Rockies and stay at the exquisite Fairmont Lake Louise

 9. Walk among the Egyptian pyramids  (Trying to avoid the Muslim Brotherhood along the way! Ah!)

10. Drive Highway 1 up the California Coast

11.  Stand in the Four Corners out west  (and explore the nearby National Parks)

12.  Stay in a villa in the hills of Perugia or Tuscany

13. Walk the streets of the old city of Quebec

14. Sleep in an overwater bungalow in Tahiti.  What is better than watching fish through a window beneath your coffee table.

15. Study the sculptures of Easter Island

16. Road trip through the South Island of New Zealand

17. Things I still want to experience in Australia:

    ~ Lord Howe Island

    ~ Go back to King's Canyon in the outback  (and take the Ghan to get there)

    ~ Tasmania

    ~ See the West Coast, including Rottnest Island.  Who could resist these little guys?

18.  See the Taj Mahal at sunset

19. Take an African safari

20. Learn the tango in Argentina

21. See the Himalayas.  This would be my dream tour.

This completes my worldwide bucket list!  What's on your list?  Any places you are dying to see before you leave this world?  Do you agree with some of my choices?
