What I did with those Goodwill finds

I wanted to update you on the finds I bought after this trip to Goodwill.

Here's what I did with the cloche. A 50 cent bird from the thrift store in Millersburg, a little fake snow bought on clearance after Christmas and here's my snowbird!
(sorry it was hard to get a good photo with the glare. And yes, that is a photo of me and another man, that's my Aussie host brother and yes, Brian is on the other side of me. No awkwardness here!)

Next is the stand I bought. This thing looked a little more than shabby but for $5+ dollars I couldn't resist. Some primer and 3 coats of black paint and waaa-laaaa!

Holy cords, Batman!! This is where we plug in our cell phone chargers and use our alarms to wake up. Any remedies for this? Originally I had planned to use as a side table in our living room, but at a whopping 28" high, this sucker was just too odd looking. But Brian's nightstand worked perfectly downstairs (and it was originally meant to be a side table). So we swapped them and I think it looks great. Some paint and a $2.99 knob. I'm probably out $15 on this one.

And the green vase. You know how much I lurveeee that 70 cents green vase. Well, here is where it found it's home.
I wasn't sure what to put up since I've only had this buffet decorated for fall and then Christmas. I found some twigs (for lack of a better word) and craft concoctions (again, for lack of a better word) and used my $1 glass jars I had from Christmas. I also got these peacock feathers at the AAA Great Vacations Expo (random, I know) and thought they'd add some color to my ensemble. Fun times!

Thanks for letting me bore you...I get waaaayyy too excited about this stuff!!
