Moseying Around Mohican

The view from the Covered Bridge.  This was just the beginning of fall colors.

While we were in Holmes County for the Antique Festival, we took a quick drive to Ashland County to visit the Mohican State Park.  The boys have really been enjoying the great outdoors and it is always good to get fresh air and vitamin D outside!

We parked at the Covered Bridge.  There are picnic tables and restrooms (if you want to call them that! Ha!) in the vicinity.

Thankfully my sister-in-law and 3 of her 4 children were able to help out during the hike!  We did the Big Lyons Falls trail and it was nice to have the extra hands in the areas where the ravines are steep!  I would only recommend this hike for ages 6+ unless you have older children or enough adults to steady the little ones as they walk.
I think shortly after this we made Dylan hold Olen's hand because it was a little frightening!

The trail was about 2 miles roundtrip.

There is no cost to enter the park.  You can check out the Mohican State Park website here.

Here are a few more photos from our day out.  As you can tell, the trail was a huge hit!
