Update to 2012 Resolutions

You can see our original post here.

Scripture Verse to Live By in 2012: 1 Thess 5:16-18, "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."

Spiritual goals:  Jackson and I have started back on the catchesism.  It took me forever to get into a routine with Olen.  Now that he is eating more solids, he can sit at the table with us while Jackson and I work on it.  Jackson has four of them memorized (oh boy).  I'm in 2 Kings 12 - but I've also done a lot of the New Testament.  Sad that I won't make it through it in a year, but I'll get there.

Goals as a wife: Have 2 date nights with Brian per month- we have not had a date night since our anniversary on 7/16. :(
I've been trying to give Brian more time "out" to play sports, etc.

Goals as a mother: Whole food (Epic Fail).  Discipleship- Good!!  I just want to love on my kids at this age.  I've tried to stop myself from hyperventilating about having the perfect routine and the perfect foods and just love on my kids while they are little.

Health/Physical-  I'm not back to pre-baby weight.  I was on track until vacation.  It's time for me to get back to the Y and make myself sweat.

Cleaning-   I'm pretty proud of my efforts.  Unfortunately, I often choose cleaning over working out.  Mopping is a work- out, right??

Professional goals- Not trying has produced my best year yet.  Now I just need a babysitter.  ;)

Financial goals-  Doing well.  Feeling queasy about the markets because I can't believe the stock market should be at 13,000 when gas is $4 and all of this violence in the Middle East.  Sounding like a conspiracy theorist?  The Lord has been working on us about laying up our treasures in Heaven and having an eternal perspective with our money... We still hope to take a vacation just the two of us although I am having a hard time with leaving the boys-- maybe more of a weekend getaway?

Books to Read: I think I'm at 12+ books for the year.  I'm reading 3 books right now- reading ADD.  I think since my last update I've finished Chuck Colson's "The Faith" and Ron Luce's "Re-Create."

I can't believe I'm still talking about my New Year's Resolutions...can anyone else believe it is halfway through September?  Nuts!
