March Update to my 2012 Resolutions

Note:  I do apologize for any silliness, inappropriate comments, or just lack of tact in this blog.  You see, I'm dealing with the following things:
1. I am exactly 40 weeks and 3 days pregnant.  Do you know what it's like to have your midwife look at you and tell you you could be pregnant for another week OR SO?  It's devastating!  A crisis to the degree that a Shamrock Shake and most of a pack of Samoas can't even cure it.
2.  I have the fattest, stupidest, loudest purring cat on the planet that woke me up about 28 times last night.  If Brian and I hadn't written a song about him, I'd probably throw him outside ...or shoot him.
3.  Did I mention I am 40 weeks and 3 days pregnant?  Before getting too cozy with the laptop I literally jumped up and said, "what can I eat?"

Goals Goals!  Time on Task!  You can check out my February Update HERE if you need a reminder.

Spiritual Goals: Memorized 2 Scriptures (I'm behind!!)  and I've read the Bible up to Deuteronomy 12.  If it takes me a little longer to get through the Bible I won't complain since I'd rather read it and remember it then just skim it and not remember anything.

Goals as a wife:  Brian and I only got 1 date night in February for his birthday.  Maybe since the bambino is late we should try to get another one in this week?

Goals as a Mom:  Jackson and I have started reading a Bible Story at lunch time out of my children's story Bible my grandma got for me at PTL (20 bonus points if anyone remembers Tammy Faye and Jim and that debacle).  Whole foods?  Between Jackson's pickyness and teething and my lack of energy, I think we'll be holding off on the whole foods until April.  To everything there is a season, right?  And it will be much easier when my vegetable garden is in season.

Financial Goals: This was going oh so well and then we had a little meeting with our tax man and let's just say, my disdain for the US Government is at an all time high.  But never fear, my stellar salesman husband is awesome and our goals are for the most part on track!  And about that little getaway, well, I can't wait to reveal where we have decided to go (and who we're going to see while we are there), but it will have to wait a few weeks.  I want baby Yoder to make his appearance first before I put any money down on a weekend getaway.

Cleaning:  I'm nesting.  Enough said.

Professional Goals: My travel business is going really well.  I can't complain.

Books:  I finished A Love That Multiplies.  I looovvvee the Duggar's anyhow, but this was a moving insight into their struggles when Josie was born prematurely and also gave more information about how they raise their large family.  I also finished EntreLeadership by Dave Ramsey.  Of course, Dave did not disappoint.  I recommend this book for any small or large business owner, or upper management.  I see Dave's principles reflected so much at Brian's company and it shows why people work for them for a long time.

Lastly, this week I found Money Saving Mom's 2012 Goals.  I usually read her blog, but must have missed this post!  I'm sad I did as I would like to incorporate many of her ideas.  A few things I did take away were:  Attending a Marriage Conference.  Running a 5k- which I was planning on doing in October at either the Swiss Festival or the Antique Festival.  And, reading the Grace and Truth Memory Book and teaching it to our children (which sounds a lot like the Matt Friedeman catechism).

Are you sticking with your 2012 Resolutions?  I'm sure I'll need reminded of mine more and more when I'm sleep deprived!!

P.S. To follow up on my opening note, I would like to thank my other cat for vomiting numerous times on the floor while I tried to write.  As if I wasn't ready to kill your brother, you now are on my list, Mag.  This is not the time for me to have a weak gag reflex.... :>x
